In light of the recent announcements to lift some restrictions, we here at Dragonfly Counselling and Consulting are committed to delivering you with professional and confidential services. At this stage we will not be moving towards face to face appointments. We will continue to offer telephone and video based appointments. We will continue to review and plan for the day that we move back to being able to deliver face to face appointments. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Due to the current situation we are no longer able to deliver face to face appointments. We are currently utilising telephone or zoom/Skype as a way to still have contact with our clients.
We would like to announce that during this uncertain times we are able to offer Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and 7pm-8pm appointments. Please make contact if you would like to take advantage of these appointments.
We wanted to take a moment to share with our clients how Dragonfly Counselling and Consulting is responding to the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
We’ve been closely monitoring this since news first broke. Our approach and decisions are based on advice and information from reliable sources such as the World Health Organization and government agencies.
Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, so we are actively listening and responding to the shifting nature of this here in Tasmania. We have no doubt the situation will continue to change. We wanted to share the plans we have in place to ensure we continue to provide you – our clients and wider community – with a seamless experience and the support you need and expect from us.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, our priority has been to ensure we’re taking care of the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients and wider community.
Currently people most at risk of contracting the virus are those who have recently travelled overseas or had contact with people who have. There is a government directive, as of 15th March, that if you have returned from overseas, you must isolate yourself and monitor your health for 14 days following your return. If you develop a fever, sore throat or cold during that time, you should seek medical attention.
Advice to help prevent the spread of the virus include:
• Regular hand washing
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or use your elbow when coughing or sneezing
• Avoid touching your face
• Avoid shaking hands
• Stay home if you are unwell
• Try to stay 1.5m from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
From today Monday 16th March we are offering clients to move their face to face appointments to either Telephone or Zoom/Skype services if they feel more comfortable.
If you are feeling unwell please do not hesitate to reschedule or change the appointment to either Telephone or Zoom/Skype.

We are excited to announce some great training that we are taking part in. Through The Gottman Institute we are participating in the Treating affairs and Trauma training. We believe this will compliment the service we offer in our marriage/relationship counselling. Stayed tune for updates along the way 😃
We would like help bring awareness to all different kinds of health issues. To start things off and to end the month of June, we have PTSD awareness day on June 27.
